The Quiksilver brand was originally started in Australia as a small boardshort manufacturing company. In 1976, Bob McKnight, the company's current CEO bought the small company and has since grown the brand to the monster clothing line it is today. With an endless list of sponsored premier athletes, such as 10 time world champion surfer Kelly Slater, the Quiksilver brand stands out among the many brands associated with the board-riding world. The International brand designs, produces and distributes clothing and accessories globally for the surf/board-riding lifestyle. Waves Costa Rica exists by the same philosophies of the company: to provide excellence in every aspect of what we do.
Waves Costa Rica was the first Roxy/Quiksilver Surf Camp in Latin America and is the only one located in Costa Rica. A Roxy team rider for years, Waves Costa Rica founder, Andrea Diaz, fully understands and lives by the company's credo.
