Playa Negra Surfing

Playa Negra, located just 5 minutes south of Avellanas, is considered one of the best surfing breaks in Costa Rica.

It offers experienced surfers a quality right-hand reef break that is great for both barrels and maneuvers. The waves for Playa Negra are very fast and do tend to draw crowds.
