Waves Costa Rica Surf Adventures is located at the Central Pacific coast, more specifically in the Jaco / Hermosa area. What is considered the Meca of surfing in Costa Rica and most consistent Break in the whole country. This area is where the international and professional contests are held, among these, are the famous night contest events.
On the Pacific coast: 22 plus surf spots to choose, from including 3rd longest left in the world, Boca Barranca.
Jaco is a "big" Town, very touristy. It's only one hour and a half drive from the main international airport, Juan Santa María. Here you can find everything from banks, hospitals, super markets, car rentals, bars, discos, surf shops, famous restaurants like Wishbone or Tsunami sushi, internet cafes, all sorts of tours and activities like ATV rentals, canopy tours, hang gliding, horseback riding, sport fishing.
(Famous Los Suenos Marina and Marriot Hotel; biggest Marina in Central America; is only 10 min drive), Rain Forest Aerial Tram, Crocodile tours and much more. You will be receiving your surf lesson at Jaco beach, ideal for beginners.( if you are an advanced surfer all you gotta do is walk across the HOT SAND to make it to the line up!!).
Hermosa Beach is ¨bless fully¨ hidden around the mountains and on one of the most spectacular 5 min drive, south from Jaco. This is where the Pacific Waves and Waves Sisters Surf Adventures is located, as well as our host Hotel Ola Bonita. Hermosa is a one Road Town, with only one Internet café and one bar: Famous Backyard – bar (hosting Ladies Night every Wednesday). This happens to be right next door to the Adventures.
Hermosa is Famous for its hallowing beach break and consistency; it's very rare to see Hermosa flat or with no waves. If you decide to stay at the Surf Adventures or at the Hotel, you will be able to watch the surfers getting barreled from your bed !!! (please take a minute to review the map provided).
