Langosta Surfing

The next bay to the south of Tamarindo is Playa Langosta. It has a river mouth with some reef and sand. The break normally starts producing about 2 to 3 hours before high tide. Langosta breaks right or left at both the reef and the sandbar. It is generally surfable, providing that you hit the sandbar when the swell is small or the reef when it's bigger.
